Professional statement

Kendra is a psychotherapist licensed in New York and Florida. She holds both an undergraduate degree in Social Work & Public Health and a Master’s in Social Work from NYU.

With over eight years of clinical experience, Kendra has provided care in diverse settings including psychiatric inpatient units, mobile community mental health clinics, and private psychotherapy practices. Kendra’s work with students, athletes, and members of marginalized communities has shaped her commitment to highly individualized and culturally attuned care. Guided by mentorship from a Harvard-trained psychiatrist, she also integrates a strong understanding of psychotropic medications and neuroscience into her practice.

Kendra’s therapeutic style is holding, curious, and transparent. She specializes in helping young adults and adults navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Kendra also uniquely works with athletes and “former” athletes, exploring themes of identity and perfectionism.

Originally from the Boston area, Kendra spent a decade in New York City before settling in Orlando, Florida. Virtual sessions are available for both New York and Florida residents. Ideal for Snowbirds!

Message to clients

We will begin wherever you are at. I will stay with you and listen carefully for what is troubling you. We will work on integrating your feelings with your thinking. As I get to you know you, we will also explore feelings that are outside of your conscious awareness, but still greatly impacting your experience of life. You do not need to come to session “prepared” and no topics are taboo.

A common question is: what can I expect to gain?

A stronger sense of self.

Increased self-compassion.

A clearer understanding of your behavioral and emotional patterns. Examination of your attempts to cope and an understanding what is useful versus what no longer serves you and why.

A sense of aliveness.
