We work with adolescents (13+) to community elders; anyone seeking compassionate support during life's difficult times.

Kerstin's background is informed by her extensive work providing grief and bereavement counseling to the community through a local hospice. She is equipped to work with client's who have experienced trauma, loss, and abandonment. Through the use of evidence-based practices, Kerstin assists her clients in finding their inner self, strengthening resiliency, and building positive outcomes.

We currently offer one-on-one individual therapy, with group options coming soon. All sessions are available both in-person at our Davidson, NC office and through secure telehealth. In office appointments available on Thursdays and Fridays. Virtual appointments available Monday - Friday.

Message to clients

Hi, I’m Kerstin, founder of Fig Tree Therapy, a licensed therapy practice in North Carolina. After several years serving as a grief counselor at a local hospice agency, I felt called to build my own practice. The lessons I learned as a grief guide continue to shape how I support clients through life’s many emotional and mental health challenges. I believe we all need a space where our pain is not something to be “fixed,” but rather honored and understood—where healing begins with being truly heard and supported as we each chart our own course toward a brighter future.

I am a compassionate and experienced mental health counselor dedicated to helping adults and adolescents in North Carolina find clarity and peace during life’s challenges. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel free to share openly—knowing you’ll be met with respect, understanding, and support. Many clients tell me they feel deeply heard in our sessions and that they can “say anything” without fear of judgment.

I understand how vulnerable it can feel to reach out for therapy. That first step matters. Please reach out to schedule a consultation call—we’ll explore whether we’re a good fit, discuss costs, and review scheduling. Life is full of ups and downs, and you don’t have to face them alone. I’d be honored to support you in finding your way forward.
