Professional statement

Kristen Rose, LCSW, works primarily with adults who appear composed on the outside but often feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in unhelpful patterns. Many of her clients struggle with people pleasing, perfectionism, overthinking, or self doubt, often navigating challenges related to relationships, self esteem, or unresolved past experiences. They are insightful, motivated for change, and looking for more than just a space to vent. Kristen’s clients are drawn to therapy for practical tools, deeper clarity, and a more grounded connection to themselves.

Kristen’s approach blends evidence based practices with a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and attachment based interventions to support both symptom relief and long term healing. Clients often describe her style as calm, steady, and supportive, creating a space where they feel safe to explore patterns, process emotions, and build the confidence to move forward. She offers both traditional talk therapy and structured programs, including Calm the Chaos, her signature 8 week program designed to help clients break out of anxiety spirals and reconnect with their values.

Kristen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. In addition to private practice, she has worked in clinical and community mental health settings, offering individual and group therapy to a wide range of clients. Her ongoing education and training in EMDR, DBT, and attachment focused work continue to shape her integrative, client centered style.

Kristen offers remote sessions to clients located anywhere in Wisconsin through a secure, HIPAA compliant video platform. Evening and weekend appointments are available to accommodate busy schedules. Her practice, Calm with Care Therapy, was created to provide a warm, grounding space for those seeking clarity, healing, and emotional growth.

Message to clients

Before we begin, I want you to know that you do not have to show up any certain way in our sessions. You do not need to have the right words, a clear plan, or even know exactly what you are feeling. It is okay to be unsure, overwhelmed, or just figuring it out as we go. Therapy with me is a space where you can exhale, where we slow things down, explore what is underneath the surface, and work toward something that feels more steady and true for you.

My hope is that this becomes a place where you feel safe to be fully yourself. I will meet you with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, but I will also offer practical tools and honest reflection when it is helpful. I believe in the power of small, consistent changes and in your capacity to reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been buried under stress, self doubt, or past experiences.

We will work together to understand what has been keeping you stuck and build a path forward that aligns with your values and goals - not mine, not anyone else’s. Whether you are here for a short time or a longer journey, my intention is to help you feel more grounded, clear, and connected to yourself.
