Kristy adopts a person-centered and solution-focused approach in her practice. Recognizing that each individual is unique, she strives to understand her clients' identities, values, and feelings about their reasons for seeking counseling. Clients come to therapy for various reasons: some may be facing challenging life circumstances, others may be grappling with past traumas, and some seek validation and a listening ear. Once Kristy has a clear understanding of her client, she works collaboratively to establish their counseling goals. She acknowledges that healing is a personal journey, with each individual progressing at their own pace. Kristy values patience and understands that some clients need more time to notice progress. Using mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches, Kristy tailors her techniques to meet her clients' unique needs. She believes in meeting her clients where they are and setting realistic expectations to support their healing journey.
