Kristy Stromitis is a mental health therapist licensed in the states of Wyoming, Washington, and Michigan. She offers virtual/online therapy only. She offers both accelerated resolution therapy and traditional talk therapy to those who choose to be her clients. Virtual office is open Tuesday-Saturday.

Other modalities can include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness skills training, and positive psychology.

Kristy has 10 years experience being a substance use and mental health therapist for prison populations in the state of Wyoming. She is trained in EMDR, master level certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and is a certified clinical trauma professional.

Message to clients

One of my favorite people is Yoda, from the Star Wars franchise. His comment, "Do or do not, there is no try" is a great philosophy but how do you determine what it is you are supposed to be doing? How do you get unstuck? How do you determine which way to go?

All of these are things we can discuss as client/therapist in the coming sessions. Do you want to do traditional talk therapy? Do you experience trauma symptoms or debilitating depression or anxiety symptoms and would like to try ART to see if you can get relief from them? You are in charge of your session - if you need to talk, we can do that, if you want to resolve trauma or symptoms, we can do that. There is no cookie cutter approach to therapy, although I do use scripts with ART so I don't forget anything.
