Dr. Lauren Cox is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist serving clients in Westchester and throughout New York and Connecticut via remote therapy sessions. She provides individual therapy for young adults, recent graduates, new mothers, and women navigating the emotional experience of the BRCA genetic mutation. Many of Lauren’s clients seek support for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and maternal mental health concerns. She is especially passionate about supporting new parents and recent graduates and has advanced training in the treatment of anxiety.
Lauren’s approach integrates CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness. Together with clients, she explores thoughts, beliefs, and behavioral patterns to better understand what may no longer be serving them and to develop healthier, more adaptive ways of coping. Her work also includes exploring family-of-origin dynamics and the deeper roots of emotional patterns. In sessions, Lauren may incorporate meditation, breathing exercises, and lifestyle-based strategies to help clients build greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and resilience.
Lauren’s style is warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential and works to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Early in the therapy process, she focuses on understanding each client’s history, identifying meaningful goals together, and establishing a collaborative foundation for growth and healing.
Lauren earned her PsyD from Pace University and has experience working with families across different stages of life. Outside of her private practice, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, being in nature, practicing yoga, exercising, gardening, and connecting with friends.
