Professional statement

Lauren Siegel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 20 years of experience in social work. She works with adults who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in repeating relationship patterns, or disconnected from their own needs after years of adapting, caregiving, or “holding it together.”

Her work is grounded in an understanding of how early relationships, attachment experiences, and unresolved emotional wounds continue to shape the nervous system, self-beliefs, and ways of relating in adulthood. Lauren’s style is warm, collaborative, and gently direct, offering a balance of deep attunement and thoughtful challenge as clients build greater self-trust and emotional clarity.

She integrates talk therapy with relational and creative approaches to help clients soften protective patterns, tend to younger parts of the self, and develop more secure, fulfilling ways of relating to both others and themselves. Lauren works with young to middle-aged adults in individual and group settings and is committed to creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported.

Message to clients

Many people come to therapy after spending a long time holding everything together. You might be caring for others, managing anxiety, dealing with relationship challenges, or carrying grief while appearing “fine” on the outside. Asking for help is not a weakness. It shows insight, resilience, and a desire for change.

I work with thoughtful, capable adults who feel overwhelmed, disconnected from their needs, or stuck in old relationship patterns. Many of my clients deal with anxiety, self-doubt, taking on too much, or the effects of early attachment wounds and past relationship trauma. Often, they understand why they feel this way, but that understanding alone hasn’t led to lasting change.

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative. We will look at how your past relationships have shaped your nervous system, beliefs, and coping skills. At the same time, we’ll build practical tools for managing emotions, setting boundaries, and building self-trust now. I combine deeper work with real-time support so therapy feels meaningful and useful in your daily life.

Clients describe me as warm, attentive, insightful, and responsive. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly heard, never judged, and supported to move at a pace that feels safe and honors your history.

I offer a free consultation so we can see if my approach feels right for you and if we might be a good fit to work together at this time in your life.
