Professional statement

Lea Rogers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is deeply drawn to the field of social work because of its profound capacity to embrace the entirety of an individual’s being. She values how the social work framework extends beyond just the psychological aspects of a person, instead taking into account the multifaceted nature of human experience. By considering factors such as age, education, income, attitudes, beliefs, trauma history, interpersonal relationships, community ties, and broader societal influences, Lea seeks to gain a comprehensive understanding of the elements that shape an individual’s mental health.

In her practice, Lea wholeheartedly embraces an empathetic, strengths-based, trauma-informed, person-centered approach. She believes that within each person lies a unique set of strengths and capabilities that can be harnessed to foster mental well-being and resilience.

Lea partners with her clients to navigate life’s ups and downs, uncertainties, and victories, with the goal of enhancing overall mental health and quality of life. She offers unwavering support and guidance, honoring the uniqueness of each client’s journey.

Message to clients

Before we begin, I want you to know this is your space—free of judgment, filled with compassion, and centered on your needs. I work during the day as a school social worker, so most of my private practice sessions are in the evenings. I also offer daytime appointments on weekends to be as flexible as possible. Building this practice has been a passion of mine, and I’m committed to creating a safe space where you feel heard, respected, and understood.

I believe you are the expert in your own life. In our first few sessions, I focus on getting to know you so you feel safe and comfortable. From there, we begin skill-building to equip you with tools to take on whatever brought you to therapy. My goal is to empower you to create meaningful change while providing steady support along the way.

On a more personal note, I believe connection is built not just through the work we do, but also through knowing the human on the other side of the conversation. I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and enjoying all things Disney, Harry Potter, and the New Orleans Saints. I look forward to learning what lights you up and what matters most to you, so we can build a therapeutic journey that’s both supportive and uniquely yours.
