Leah Swanson is a clinical mental health counselor with over 15 years of experience working with college students and young women aged 18–40. She specializes in trauma and resiliency, integrating evidence-based positive psychology informed by modern neuroscience with somatic release and EMDR. With a background in somatic therapy, Leah brings a unique, intuitive approach to her practice and has a naturally heightened ability to sense somatic traumas that may be deeply held in the body and unconscious mind. The combination of trauma and somatic therapy results in a highly effective approach for integrative healing.
Leah believes that young adults deserve to flourish in work, school, and relationships, yet many feel lost under excessive stress and choice overload. She understands the realities of their world—from identity and neurodivergence to the pressures of digital life—and helps young adults stay on track, manage anxiety, and gain emotional mastery over their lives.
She emphasizes that transformational healing happens at the level of the soul. While traditional counseling often focuses on repairing negative thinking, Leah works to uncover the unconscious harmful beliefs that drive these patterns. Clients learn to feel good about themselves—not just when things are going well, but no matter what is happening around them.
Leah's clinical training and experiences vary from women's community outreach programs to hospitals and health care settings. She has continued her post-graduate training in trauma and meditation and mindfulness practices.
