Lindsay Daskalopoulos is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker based in Rhode Island, with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She supports clients through both expected and unexpected life challenges across the lifespan. Many of her clients are students or young adults navigating emotional struggles after moving to a new place, exploring questions of identity and belonging, or adjusting to the demands of academia or a new career. She also works with clients experiencing trauma, loss, anxiety, or depression, as well as those navigating midlife challenges and other significant life transitions, including changes in relationships, family, career, or personal identity. Her clients come from a wide range of backgrounds, including creatives, healthcare professionals, and meditators, and seek therapy to regain a sense of meaning, rekindle creativity, and develop a deeper sense of self.
Buddhist psychology and mindfulness practices inform Lindsay’s approach to therapy. Clients are encouraged to turn their attention inward through grounding exercises, body scans, and other mindfulness practices, supporting awareness of present physical and emotional reactions and nurturing one’s natural capacity for compassionate response toward oneself and others. Through the practice of self-compassion, self-critical and judgmental habits of mind can be softened and transformed. As a psychodynamic therapist, Lindsay fosters a trusting relationship to explore and heal relationship patterns and underlying beliefs, viewing healing as a holistic process that nourishes mind, body, and spirit. Clients are offered a safe, non-judgmental space to navigate life’s complexities, deepen curiosity, and reflect on questions of meaning and purpose.
Lindsay has completed postgraduate trainings in young adult mental health at the McCosh Health Center at Princeton University and at Harvard University Mental Health Center. She integrates this training with her extensive clinical experience to provide informed, compassionate care for clients at all stages of life.
