Professional statement

Lisbeth (she/they) is a licensed counselor and art therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. She works with adults who are ready to move beyond simply managing their symptoms, toward genuine, lasting relief and a more fulfilling life. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Lisbeth is deeply committed to offering an affirming, inclusive space where every client feels truly seen, honored, and safe to show up as their authentic self.

Lisbeth's approach draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, carefully tailored to what each person needs most. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, research-backed therapy that helps process and release the grip of traumatic memories. CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) works to identify and shift the thought patterns that fuel anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. Art Therapy uses creative self-expression as a unique and powerful path to growth and healing, making it possible to understand and process emotions that words alone sometimes can't reach. Mindfulness practices help build present-moment awareness, reduce overwhelm, and cultivate a steadier, more grounded relationship with oneself. Together with each client, Lisbeth determines which combination of these approaches feels right, and that plan can evolve as the client does.

What makes Lisbeth's practice distinctive is the integration of creativity into the therapeutic process. No artistic skill or experience is required, just a willingness to explore. Many clients find that working creatively unlocks new insight and emotional breakthroughs that traditional talk therapy alone may not access.

Lisbeth works with individuals navigating life transitions, relationship stress, burnout, low self-esteem, and the compounding effects of living with mental health challenges. Whatever brings a client to therapy, Lisbeth believes healing is possible and within reach.

Message to clients

You deserve to feel better — not just cope or get by, but actually experience real, meaningful relief. The anxiety that keeps you awake at night, the fatigue that follows you through the day, the intrusive thoughts that make it hard to trust yourself: these can shift, and I genuinely believe it's possible for you.

My style is warm, collaborative, and deeply personalized. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. In our work together, you'll be an active participant in shaping your own path — we'll explore what resonates, adjust what doesn't, and build a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and mutual respect. Many of my clients tell me they've finally found a space where they feel truly heard, without judgment.

In our early sessions, you can expect to start building practical tools that offer real stability — ways to regulate your nervous system, interrupt unhelpful thought cycles, and reconnect with your own strength and resilience. Over time, we'll go deeper, addressing the roots of what's been holding you back.

Whether you're navigating the pressures of everyday life, processing past trauma, or simply feeling like something needs to change, you don't have to figure it out alone. Reaching out for support is an act of courage, and I'm here to meet you exactly where you are.

I would be truly honored to be part of your healing journey.
