Professional statement

After decades of experience, formal preparation, and deep-seated passion for helping others in need of counseling, Dr. Maria Pandolfi established [the] Pandolfi Counseling Associates, Inc. Throughout her work in counseling and community service, she has supported individuals facing some of life’s most significant turning points—divorce, loss of a loved one, retirement, relocation, career changes, and the challenge of starting over.

During these moments of transition, many people experience uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, and difficult decisions about their future. Dr. Pandolfi recognized that these changes are not just practical or logistical—they are deeply personal and emotional journeys.

From this understanding, she developed the Mindful Move philosophy.

Mindful Move is the belief that major life changes should be approached with awareness, intention, and emotional stability. Rather than rushing through transitions or making decisions from fear or pressure, individuals benefit from slowing down, reflecting, and building the confidence needed to move forward with clarity.

Through therapy and supportive guidance, clients are able to process emotions, strengthen resilience, and gain the insight necessary to make thoughtful decisions about the next chapter of their lives.

Dr. Pandolfi works with individuals experiencing adjustment challenges, including women rebuilding their lives after divorce or loss, retirees entering a new stage of life, and young professionals learning to navigate independence and responsibility.

Her work emphasizes that change does not have to feel chaotic or overwhelming. With the right support, transitions can become opportunities for growth, healing, and renewed purpose.

The Mindful Move philosophy encourages individuals to approach life’s changes calmly and intentionally—transforming moments of uncertainty into meaningful new beginnings.

Message to clients

Are you starting over and preparing for your next move — but unsure where to begin?

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the decisions and details ahead and dont know how to move forward?

Starting over again is one of the toughest things you can be asked to do. Most of us, at one point in our lives, are forced to do exactly that, and usually, we're unprepared for all the little changes that come with the big transitions.

Because moving isn’t just about changing homes — it’s about navigating a life transition -with confidence.

Thoughtful planning so the move supports your life — not just your address. Helping people navigate life transitions by clarifying decisions, starting with a simple phone conversation.
