Professional statement

My clients are often deeply thoughtful, ambitious individuals who quietly carry the weight of anxiety, overthinking, and people-pleasing. They hold themselves to impossibly high standards while neglecting their own emotional needs. Life may look “fine” on the outside, but internally, they feel disconnected, uncertain, or stuck in repetitive thought loops.

My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and emphasizes cognitive restructuring, assertiveness training, and mindfulness-based techniques to defuse negative thoughts. I guide individuals to notice and interrupt anxious thinking, challenge perfectionism, and create boundaries that reflect their authentic values.

Clients can expect to develop insight and practical tools that bring calm, clarity, and balance. Our work together helps restore a sense of self-trust and ease, allowing you to show up more confidently—in your relationships, your work, and your own mind. I offer virtual-only therapy on Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am - 4pm.

Message to clients

Mariah isn’t just a listener—she’s a collaborator. She’ll help you stop fearing people, places, or what might go wrong, and start building confidence in who you are. Therapy with her is about re-training your brain, finding your voice, and reconnecting with the version of yourself that feels free and grounded.

Clients often say they leave sessions with Mariah feeling lighter, clearer, and more hopeful. Her approach is a blend of support and strategy: she creates a safe, judgment-free space to unpack your thoughts and past experiences; while also helping you build practical tools to feel more in control. Using CBT, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and relaxation techniques, she helps clients understand where their negative thought patterns come from—and how to shift them.
