Mary-Lauren O’Crowley is a trauma, anxiety, and people-pleasing specialist whose clients often overthink, struggle to say no, or feel "less than" at work and in relationships. On the outside, the people she works with often look fine, but in reality, they replay conversations, overanalyze their decisions, and struggle to put themselves first. They may feel restless, on edge, or panicky, and can't seem to turn their minds off. For over a decade, Mary-Lauren has helped people say no without guilt, enjoy relationships without ignoring themselves, and feel calmer, more confident, and more in control of their thoughts and emotions. Mary-Lauren believes that Insight is an important first step, but sometimes, even with self-awareness, things can still feel stuck. That doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. Together, she’ll help you turn that understanding into practical tools for real, lasting change.
Mary-Lauren has her Master’s degree from Northwestern University and has advanced training in trauma therapy. She is also certified in EMDR, a highly effective form of therapy that helps improve anxiety and process difficult past experiences in as little as one session. She recognizes that trauma isn’t always a single dramatic event (and it isn't always that obvious). Trauma can be the accumulation of stress, unhealthy relationships, or any moments that left you feeling unsupported or alone. Mary-Lauren's approach is compassionate, genuine, and funny. She helps clients understand their past and patterns while also giving them the tools to break out of old habits and find real relief.
