Professional statement

TL;DR: I’m not here to politely watch your life burn down like it’s a movie review. I’m here to help you put the fire out.

You’re here because insight isn’t fixing it. You can explain your patterns like you’re narrating a documentary…and your nervous system still hits the panic button, slams the brakes, or flips the table in real life.

Let me guess: you’ve tried therapy before and it felt like paying someone to nod thoughtfully while you talk in circles. “And how does that make you feel?”

Yeah...it feels fucking awful. Next question.

I work with trauma and chronic stress, especially in high-functioning people who keep it together until they can’t: anxiety, shutdown, rage spikes, dissociation, perfectionism, burnout. The folks who look fine on the outside but actually feel like their inner world is a daycare with no staff: screaming toddlers, big emotions everywhere, nobody napping, everything is sticky.

My approach is direct, structured, and nervous-system focused. We stabilize first (because going “deep” without capacity is like ripping the smoke alarm out instead of putting out the fire), then use EMDR and somatic work to change the pattern, not just describe it. The goal is traction: skills that actually work when life shows up uninvited.

Formats include in-person + telehealth, 90-minute sessions, walking/nature sessions, intensives, and select community/community-based work when clinically appropriate...because the moment you need skills is rarely while sitting in a comfy office chair.

Message to clients

I’m not here to rescue you. I’m not here to perform. And I’m definitely not doing some quirky therapist circus act for clicks.

I do this in real life, in real moments, because that’s where the hard shit actually happens. Most people can compartmentalize like champs once they’re back in a calm room. But your nervous system doesn’t rewire during the recap. It rewires when you’re activated.

Here’s the key: the work in the office matters. It’s also only one piece of the puzzle because your life doesn’t fall apart in my office. It falls apart out there. That’s why I’m out-of-pocket on purpose. I’m not built for the insurance model where the only option is 53 minutes in a room and then everyone pretends that’s enough.

So yes, when it’s clinically appropriate, I take therapy into the real world: walking sessions, hikes, kayaking, events that feel overwhelming, and the scary meetings (including lawyer meetings) where your brain is screaming “GET ME OUT OF HERE.” Not to perform. Because nervous systems learn best in context, not in hindsight and having someone there can make the difference.

Also, just so we’re clear, I’m a real human. I swear. I’m direct. I’m not everyone’s flavor. If you need polished, gentle, endlessly affirming energy…keep scrolling.

But if you’ve read this far and you’re thinking, “Thank god...someone who isn’t full of it,” book the free in-person consult and meet me. You’ll know fast if this is your kind of therapy.

Therapist's note

I offer standard sessions plus home/community sessions and documentation/letter writing. I also offer All-Day Therapy intensives: $800/day (4–8 hours). This can include meetings, routines, and real-time coaching/support. Nervous system reactions happen in the moment, and it’s hard to replicate that in an office after the fact. The goal is practical skill-building: learning to regulate and respond differently while life is actually happening, with nonjudgmental prompts and support.
