Dr. Max Friedmann is a clinical psychologist in private practice licensed in New York and New Jersey, and authorized for telehealth in 40+ states via PsyPACT (psypact.gov/page/psypactmap).
He can meet via Zoom or in-person in Montclair, New Jersey. He helps people work through depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, and relationship challenges.
Previously, Dr. Friedmann worked at the NYU Langone World Trade Center Health Program CCE, serving September 11th first responders coping with PTSD, depression, anxiety, and panic.
He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Georgia Regional Hospital of Atlanta, a state hospital serving people with severe mental illness.
At his internship at NYU-Bellevue Hospital, he worked with children, adolescents, and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings.
He received his doctorate (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, where he worked in community mental health and college counseling centers.
He received his M.A. in Education and B.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University.
