Megan Haley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles, California. She works with adults, young adults, couples, and families, as well as adolescents and their parents. Megan supports high-functioning clients struggling with anxiety, trauma, addiction, codependency, relationship challenges, perfectionism, and long-standing patterns that no longer serve them. Her work emphasizes clarity, practical tools, and forward movement.
Megan’s approach is trauma-focused, attachment-based, and actively engaged. She integrates psychodynamic therapy with evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and nervous system regulation. Taking a mind-body approach to trauma, she helps clients understand how stress shows up emotionally, physically, and relationally. Megan is committed to ongoing continuing education to keep her work current and effective.
Sessions are collaborative, structured, and tools-based. Clients leave with concrete strategies and resources to use between sessions, rather than feeling left to figure things out alone. When appropriate, Megan collaborates with psychiatrists, medical providers, nutritionists, and educational specialists to support coordinated care. She is also fully trained in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, offered selectively and only when clinically appropriate.
Megan is actively involved in mental health advocacy and leadership. She serves on the advisory boards of Inspiring Children Foundation and Jewel’s Never Broken Foundation, and is an executive producer and mental health expert for iHeartMedia and Jewel’s Not Alone campaign. Megan sees clients in her West Hollywood office and offers remote therapy sessions throughout California.
Anxiety - Working with chronic worry, overthinking, panic, and nervous system dysregulation. Therapy focuses on understanding the roots of anxiety, building emotional regulation skills, and developing practical strategies to feel calmer, more grounded, and more in control in daily life.
Relationship issues - Exploring patterns that show up in dating, partnerships, and family relationships. This work focuses on clarifying needs, improving communication, addressing attachment dynamics, and breaking cycles that lead to conflict, disconnection, or dissatisfaction.
Trauma - Supporting healing from traumatic experiences, including emotional, physical, sexual, or relational trauma. Therapy helps reduce hypervigilance, emotional reactivity, and shutdown by addressing how trauma impacts both the nervous system and relationships, while building a greater sense of safety and stability.
Alcohol use disorder & addiction - Helping clients reduce or eliminate reliance on substances while building healthier ways to cope with stress and emotional pain. I have extensive experience working in treatment center settings and am highly knowledgeable about 12-step programs as well as alternative recovery approaches. Therapy is collaborative, non-judgmental, and focused on sustainable change and relapse prevention.
Codependency - Addressing patterns of over-functioning, people-pleasing, and losing oneself in relationships. Therapy focuses on strengthening boundaries, building self-trust, and shifting relational dynamics that lead to burnout, resentment, or a sense of worth being tied to others.
Perfectionism/ High-Functioning Stress - Working with individuals who appear successful on the outside but feel exhausted, self-critical, or stuck internally. Therapy helps loosen rigid standards, address underlying anxiety or shame, and create more sustainable ways of relating to work, achievement, and self-worth.
