Meet Melissa Carr, LCSW – Therapist, Advocate, and Real-World Supporter
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself lately—Melissa Carr gets it. With years of experience in the mental health field and a calm, down-to-earth approach, she’s here to help you sort through the hard stuff and start moving toward real change.
Melissa works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, and life transitions. She’s passionate about helping people feel stronger, more in control, and more connected to themselves. Her work is rooted in evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care—but what truly makes her approach stand out is how she tailors every session to meet you where you are. Whether you’re trying to manage daily stress or untangle years of emotional weight, she brings clarity, compassion, and practical tools that actually work.
Outside of private practice, Melissa serves as the Behavioral Health Program Manager for a 911 Co-Responder Team. That means she works side-by-side with first responders in real-time crisis situations—giving her deep insight into trauma, crisis intervention, and the realities of managing mental health in everyday life. Her work in the community shapes the steady, supportive presence she brings to therapy.
Melissa holds a Master’s in Social Work from Texas A&M – Commerce and a Bachelor’s from LSU. She offers virtual sessions for individuals, creating a safe and flexible space where you can show up as you are—no commute, no judgment.
She’s currently accepting new clients for individual therapy. If you’re ready to take that first step (even if you’re a little nervous), Melissa is here to walk alongside you.
Let’s start wherever you are.
