Michael is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who works with adults, couples, and families navigating a wide range of mental health concerns. He supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, PTSD, substance use disorders, and complex life transitions. He approaches every client with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience.
Michael’s therapeutic style integrates several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Logotherapy (existential counseling), and Ecotherapy. His work is grounded in the belief that the language we use to describe our lives shapes the way we understand ourselves. He guides clients in exploring meaning, setting intentional goals, and reconnecting with the small, meaningful moments that foster resilience.
Michael earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University. He began his career providing both individual and group therapy at CPC Addiction Recovery Services, where he supported clients in substance use recovery and co-occurring mental health needs. He then joined the Monmouth County PACT team, continuing to provide counseling services in a community-based setting and further deepening his experience working with individuals living with severe and persistent mental health diagnoses.
Michael offers a collaborative, structured, and empathetic therapeutic environment. He is available for both in-person sessions and telehealth services for clients across New Jersey.
