Professional statement

I’m a therapist with over 35 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges in a practical and meaningful way. I specialize in working with clients who feel overwhelmed by stress, stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, or ready to create more direction and clarity in their lives.
My approach is solution-focused and goal-oriented. I see therapy as a partnership where we focus on what’s happening in your life right now, while drawing on your past only when it’s helpful for moving forward. I believe strongly that you already have strengths, even if they may not feel accessible at the moment, and part of our work together will be identifying and building on them.
In addition to my clinical work, I’ve spent many years writing and sharing insights through books, articles, and media, all with the goal of helping people better understand themselves and live more intentionally.

Message to clients

In our work together, we’ll create a space where you can feel both supported and energized about moving forward. We’ll talk through what’s been happening, but we won’t stop there. We’ll also focus on what can shift, what can improve, and what steps can help you start feeling more like yourself again.
My goal is for you to leave sessions not just feeling heard, but also feeling a bit lighter, clearer, and more hopeful about what’s ahead. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, while still keeping momentum toward the life you want to be living.
If you’re ready to make meaningful changes and reconnect with a sense of direction and possibility, I’d be glad to be part of that process with you.
