Professional statement

Nicole George is a credentialed Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Olympia, WA, dedicated to guiding individuals across the lifespan through their healing journeys. Many of her clients have already found great success in navigating difficult life experiences but are hoping to improve the quality of their connections - with themselves and others. She is particularly sensitive to clients with conflicting emotional and relational difficulties related to neurodivergence, significant life transitions—including divorce, grief and loss, and parenthood—and interpersonal violence and other forms of trauma.

Utilizing a trauma-informed lens which looks at how the families we grew up in impact our relationships today, she strongly believes in empowering clients to be the best versions of themselves and recognizes the "Kairos"—the opportune moment—when healing begins. Nicole's practice integrates a variety of evidence-based approaches, including nutrition for mental health - helping clients think and feel better by changing their diet, somatic psychotherapy - applying mind-body healing, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) - helping clients integrate and heal traumatic memories and reduce emotional distress, cognitive-behavioral techniques - making connections between thinking and feeling to get out of unhelpful thinking patterns, and solution-focused methods - looking at what's working and expanding that, all aimed at fostering holistic health.

Committed to professional excellence, she maintains certifications as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 (CCTP-II), a Clinical Mental Health and Nutrition Specialist (CMHNS), and a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS). Above all, she deeply values the healing power of human connection, striving to compassionately hold space for each individual as a whole, integrated person. She offers the flexibility of remote therapy sessions and welcomes new clients to her online practice.

Message to clients

I want to create a safe harbor with you where you feel protected and secure - a place where you can rest and replenish your heart and mind. It's so important to have someone to talk to where you can just be yourself and not have to worry about being judged or misperceived. I hope to create that healing space with you as we explore together how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, so that you can begin to make targeted change. I consider it an honor to be invited into your healing journey and prioritize the sacredness of this experience.
