Rebecca Rodas, LCAT, is a New York based creative arts therapist and healer whose work is rooted in the belief that being truly seen, accepted, and loved can transform a person's relationship with themselves and the world around them. She approaches therapy as both a sacred practice and a form of resistance against systems that disconnect us from ourselves and each other.
She works with couples, individuals, and groups across a wide spectrum of identities and experiences. Rebecca has a deep commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, including transgender and gender non-binary individuals with over 8 years of experience. She also works extensively with Hispanic and Latine communities, neurodivergent and highly sensitive people, activists, creatives, non-conformists, and those in non-traditional relationship structures including polyamorous and non-monogamous partnerships.
Rebecca pulls from a diverse range of frameworks, theories, and practices uniquely designed for each client, which may include but are not limited to psychodynamic, trauma focused, somatic, emotionally focused, CBT, creative arts, decolonial practices, movement based healing, EFT tapping, and spiritual hygiene.
Disrupting oppressive systems and reconnecting clients to their ancestral strength is central to her practice. For clients drawn to this, she embraces spirituality, astrology, and tarot as tools for deeper self-understanding, self-actualization, ancestral wisdom, guidance, and resilience. In case you are curious, she is a Leo sun, Aries moon, and Libra rising.
Rebecca holds an MPS in Art Therapy with a specialization in Addictionology, understanding substance use through the lens of relational trauma. Her clinical background spans over a decade with extraordinarily diverse populations across New York City, including HIV/AIDS communities, immigrant and Spanish speaking populations, domestic violence and sexual trauma survivors, clients navigating transitions, grief, identity, neurodivergence, trauma, and addiction across all ages.
Rebecca offers fully remote sessions in New York State, accepts Cigna insurance, and offers sliding scale fees.
