Professional statement

Rebecca Suschitzky is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) licensed in MA, seeing adults in person and remotely.

She specializes in treating individuals with PTSD and Complex Trauma (C-PTSD), mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, perinatal mental health, attachment issues and members of the LGBTQIA+ community with an interest in Late-in-Life Lesbians.

Psychodynamically trained, Rebecca believes that together in the therapeutic relationship a deeper understanding of how the individual thinks, feels and behaves can free the client from pain and open up the possibility to live a more fulfilling life.

In addition to Psychodynamic psychotherapy, she uses a relational approach with an emphasis on attachment.

Rebecca will use the most appropriate tools depending on the client’s needs while maintaining the importance of the therapeutic relationship as fundamental to healing.

Message to clients

Rebecca earned her Masters in Social Work degree at Simmons College. With over 22 years of experience, she has worked in a variety of settings including both inpatient, residential, community mental health settings, home visiting, group practice, in addition to private practice.

I have worked with adults with complex trauma and PTSD, women questioning their sexuality and coming out later in life, individuals from the Transgender community, women suffering from pregnancy loss and postpartum depression/anxiety.

My goal is to create a therapeutic space where you can feel safe, heard, known and cared for and a secure environment where inner exploration can be possible. I will provide guidance in your journey toward making positive and meaningful life changes.

In this way I believe incredible things can happen. We will work at the pace that you need to achieve the goals that are important to you.
