Hi, I’m Reeti Kumar, LMHC — and yes, therapy really can make life feel lighter.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing virtual therapy in Rhode Island, New York, and Connecticut. I help people feel better, sleep better, and get back to living the kind of life they actually want — not just the one they’re pushing through.
I love working with college students, grad students, and busy professionals who are motivated to make changes but maybe feel stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in a loop of overthinking (hi anxiety and perfectionism.
In our sessions, you’ll find a mix of evidence-based techniques (because science works!) and down-to-earth conversations (because we’re both human). I also bring in a multicultural lens, helping clients explore their identities, navigate family dynamics, and find balance between culture and expectations.
If you deal with anxiety, OCD, OCPD, or perfectionism, we’ll use Exposure Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention (ExRP) — the gold-standard treatments that help you break free from the anxious “what ifs” and reclaim your time, energy, and peace of mind.
If you’re living with ADHD, we’ll focus on building real-world skills to help you get organized, manage time, and actually finish things before the deadline. Think of it as learning to work with your brain instead of constantly trying to outsmart it.
And if depression has you feeling like your couch has developed a magnetic pull, we’ll use Behavioral Activation — small steps that rebuild motivation and joy, even when your brain insists “meh.” (Basically: science-backed strategies to outwit the “I’ll do it later” monster.)
My goal? To help you feel more like you — calm, confident, and able to handle whatever life throws your way (without losing sleep over that one email you sent three days ago).
