Professional statement

Renee is licensed in CO and UT. She specializes in working with women and focuses on trauma recovery, EMDR therapy, somatic modalities, and creative processes that build the capacity to meet life’s challenges as opportunities for growth. Renee offers compassionate support and focused guidance to help clients trust their inner wisdom, engage their natural self-healing abilities, and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.

Practicing EMDR therapy since 2008, Renee has helped clients reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and performance anxiety. EMDR can also enhance performance and creativity for professional athletes, performers, business professionals, and public speakers, as well as support mindfulness, stress reduction, confidence, personal growth, and overall well-being.

Renee believes that optimal wellness arises from feeling connected to one’s essential nature and the larger world. She integrates modalities that help clients reconnect with their centered, wise selves and discover opportunities for growth within any life challenge. Her approach combines mind-body and experiential therapies, including EMDR, Mind-Body Bridging, Somatic Experiencing, Safely Embodied practices, Mindful Self-Compassion, guided imagery, and creative expressive therapies. Renee also draws from her background in mindfulness meditation, particularly Vipassana (Insight Meditation).

Whether clients are navigating a difficult transition or seeking to deepen their creative process and cultivate positive internal resources, Renee provides a safe, supportive environment where each person’s wisdom and needs are honored and placed at the center of the healing journey.

Message to clients

Hello! Thank you for your interest in working with me. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

I have a BA in Sociology and Human Services and a MA in Clinical Counseling. I have worked in human services for over 25 years and have been in private practice for 16 years.

I am interested in health and holistic wellness, dance and movement, sustainable living, and innovative designs and solutions.

I am also a freelance writer and author. My mind-body connections articles are featured at Therapy Today, and at my website where I focus on articles for building resilience, mindfulness and well-being, as well as resources for trauma recovery and managing anxiety.
