Professional statement

Robin Wellington works with adults who may appear to be managing life well on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected internally. Many of her clients are thoughtful, capable people who have insight into their patterns yet still feel stuck in cycles of stress, emotional reactivity, or self-doubt. Robin helps clients slow down, understand their inner experience, and reconnect with a deeper sense of calm, clarity, and authenticity.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and rooted in mind-body awareness. Robin blends somatic therapy, mindfulness-based psychotherapy, nervous system education, and experiential practices to help clients move beyond simply talking about their challenges. Through both insight and embodied awareness, clients learn how to regulate their nervous system, shift long-standing emotional patterns, and experience meaningful change from the inside out.

Robin’s work is also informed by her background in yoga therapy, mindfulness practices, and holistic wellness. She believes emotional symptoms are not signs that something is wrong with a person, but signals from a nervous system that adapted to past stress or overwhelm. Therapy becomes a collaborative process of helping the mind and body update those patterns so clients can live with greater ease, resilience, and connection.

Robin is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) practicing under supervision. She offers individual therapy for adults through secure telehealth sessions, making support accessible and convenient for clients across the region.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. You don’t need the “right words” or a perfectly clear story. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and explore what’s happening inside with curiosity rather than judgment.

In our work together, we move at a pace that feels safe and respectful of your nervous system. Along with meaningful conversation, I often incorporate mindfulness, body awareness, and experiential practices that help you notice and shift patterns as they arise. Many clients find this approach helps change feel more real and lasting because it engages both the mind and the body.

My hope for every client is that through our work together you begin to feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and more able to meet life with clarity and resilience. Healing is not about fixing what’s broken—it’s about rediscovering the parts of you that have always been whole.
