Sabrina Tropper is a licensed therapist in New York and New Jersey and the founder of Transformative Therapy. She specializes in working with individuals who feel perpetually over-extended, those who often look capable on the outside, but internally feel scattered, exhausted, or like they are just one task away from things falling apart. Many of Sabrina’s clients find themselves stuck in a loop of "faking it" or failing even when they are doing their best, often due to deep-seated survival patterns that have led them to prioritize everyone else's needs over their own.
Sabrina’s therapy approach is straightforward, direct, and compassionate, moving beyond surface-level coping to address the biological roots of chronic stress and burnout. As a specialist in trauma-oriented care, she utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and body-based strategies to help clients reprocess past life experiences and resolve the internal friction that keeps them in survival mode. By integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) and ADHD-informed strategies, she guides clients to reconnect with their bodies, build resilience, and reclaim a sense of peace.
Sabrina earned her Master’s degree from Baruch College, the City University of New York. Her professional background includes significant work in child welfare and advocacy for individuals with marginalized identities. She brings this dedication to her private practice, empowering clients to stop fighting against themselves and start living with intention. In addition to her clinical work, Sabrina is an advocate for sustainable mental health practices and will be accepting inquiries for clinical supervision and professional consulting starting in Spring 2026.
Transformative Therapy is a private practice based in New York City, mostly virtual therapy for residents of both New York and New Jersey. She currently has availability for new clients looking to create a more grounded, fulfilling life.
