Sarah Hernalsteen, LPC-Associate, ASOTP, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a Licensed Affiliate Sex Offender Treatment Provider under the supervision of Karen Christensen, LPC-S, LSOTP, CSAT at Rinnovare Counseling Center. Sarah holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is committed to providing individualized, evidence-based care in a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and supported.

Sarah approaches therapy with empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regard, helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and discover personal growth. She is passionate about supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, or religious trauma.

Sarah draws from evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other Psychoeducational methods. She is currently in the process of obtaining certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to further support clients in processing trauma and healing from distressing life events.
