Professional statement

Sarah wholeheartedly believes that therapy should be as unique as each individual and rooted in compassionate and collaborative curiosity. She believes that it is essential to honor your journey, and she will always approach your sessions with the understanding that you are in the driver’s seat.

Sarah draws from somatic, analytic, and relational schools of thought, nurturing the belief that you already possess the strength and resources within yourself to heal. Her clinical experience includes supporting young adults, adults, and athletes across various settings, from community mental health and college counseling centers to her current work in private practice.

Sarah also believes in incorporating yoga and meditation as complementary practices to your work together. These tools can be incredibly helpful as you address anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, as well as the unique challenges that arise in everyday life.

In your sessions, Sarah's wish is for you to feel like you can collaboratively create a safe and active space to freely explore your feelings and experiences. She will support you in building a deep trust in the transformative healing that can emerge from a genuine therapeutic relationship.

If you are ready to embark on this journey together, please don't hesitate to reach out to her.

Message to clients

I'm so glad you are considering therapy during this time of need. It's essential to find support that resonates with you, and I very much hope that your treatment experience is both positive and fulfilling. We can work together to ensure that your journey is effective and meaningful.

I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from somatic, analytic, and relational schools of thought. I firmly believe that individuals have the innate capacity to heal and grow, and my role is to help guide you through that process. Both my personal and professional experiences have deepened my understanding of the healing potential found within a genuine therapeutic relationship. You can expect me to be active and attentive during our sessions, encouraging you to embrace the fact that you are in control of your treatment journey.

Additionally, having spent nearly a decade working in mental health while also teaching yoga throughout Boston, I have gained valuable insight into how life's challenges and joys are experienced in our bodies. This realization has shaped my therapeutic philosophy, particularly emphasizing the importance of a body-based approach in our work together.

If any of this resonates with you, I would love to talk about it further. Your journey is important, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.
