Professional statement

Sherilyn is a compassionate mental health therapist who has been supporting clients since 2012. She works with individuals experiencing trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, and life transitions, helping them build practical tools to manage symptoms and create a more balanced and fulfilling life. Sherilyn is especially passionate about supporting clients who feel emotionally overwhelmed and in need of a calm, supportive space to heal and grow.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and practical skill building. Sherilyn creates a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the counseling process. She believes healing is rarely black and white and that growth often happens within life’s more difficult and uncertain moments. Through therapy, she helps clients strengthen resilience, increase self awareness, and develop healthier ways of coping with everyday challenges.

Sherilyn’s path into the mental health field was inspired by her own experiences with therapy during her teenage years. Those experiences shaped the compassionate and present therapist she strives to be today. Professionally, she spent nine years running her own private practice before expanding her experience within a mental health hospital setting. For the past three years, she has provided telehealth therapy and counseling services, offering clients accessible and flexible support from the comfort of their own environment.

Outside of work, Sherilyn enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, camping, hiking, and embracing the importance of balance and self care in daily life.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, overwhelming, or even intimidating at times, and I want you to know that you do not have to have everything figured out before we begin. My hope is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard without fear of judgment. I believe therapy works best when there is trust, honesty, and collaboration, and I strive to meet each client with compassion, patience, and understanding.

I work from the belief that healing and growth look different for everyone. Together, we will focus on helping you better understand yourself, manage stress and difficult emotions, and build practical tools that support your everyday life. I know that change takes time, and I will encourage you to move at a pace that feels comfortable and realistic for you.

My goal is not only to help you navigate challenges, but also to help you recognize your strengths and create a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and fulfilling. I feel honored to walk alongside my clients in their journey and deeply value the trust it takes to begin the therapeutic process.
