Shilpa Shah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and Florida. She works with young adults and adults who feel stressed out, overwhelmed, and burnt out from their daily lives. Generally, these clients feel like they have nothing left to give yet still show up for work each day and support their friends or family members before focusing on their own wellbeing. These pressures can negatively impact their relationships or leave them feeling void of meaning and joy.
Shilpa takes a culturally informed approach to therapy, gently supporting clients to dive deeper into their emotions and talk about the areas in their lives that need attention. She guides clients towards clarity, determining the right balance to thrive. Clients break old patterns through a therapy modality called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is especially effective when breaking the harmful thought patterns that have led them to burnout. She also practices psychodynamic therapy and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, which can help clients find insights into their inner minds and develop a strong foundational understanding of their experiences.
Shilpa earned a Master’s degree from City University of New York. Her goal as a therapist is to help clients find a comfortable space in their lives where they can let go of the pressures placed on them and engage with personal growth and resilience.
