Professional statement

Dr. Stephanie Baron is a Clinical Psychologist whose office is right outside Century City. She sees children, adults, and older adults. Many of Dr. Baron's clients come to see her to address trauma, anxiety and depression. She is skilled in working with Complex PTSD, grief, loss, attachment disorders, and childhood trauma.

Dr. Baron is trained in EMDR, IFS, and CBT. She conducts her initial session with a trauma lens and designs a treatment plan with her client to discover the source of the trauma. This gives her the ability to hone in on the problems quickly and engage in treatment right away. She looks for irrational beliefs and cognitive distortions as well as issues that have become problematic in life. Her goal is to change the client's neural networks and create a more positive and healthy way of living life without trauma.

Dr. Baron creates a safe place to engage in therapy with a warm, gentle, and nonjudgemental environment. She also gives her clients tools to work with on their own both while in therapy and after therapy has been completed. Her goal is to treat clients thoroughly and effectively in a short period of time.

Dr. Baron received her Ph.D. from the California Graduate Institute, now the Chicago School of Psychology.

She does both in person therapy and online therapy.

Message to clients

I am a skilled therapist whose approach allows you the client to relax, and engage in meaningful therapy whether we do EMDR, IFS or talk therapy. I want you to be able to find a safe place to heal. I will give you wrist bands to put on that will buzz bilaterally and help your autonomic nervous system to calm down.

For many people this is the first time in a long time that you are able to really relax and talk about your feelings and issues. This is important to feel safe and accepted.

I love my work and love being able to give clients the opportunity to really heal from a deep level that is different from traditional talk therapy. Whether you've been in a car accident or have years of abuse, you will be able to recover and lead a much healthier life. That is my goal.
