Subi Lee is a counselor-in-training pursuing her Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. She is passionate about supporting individuals navigating identity, cultural transitions, stress, and emotional challenges like depression and anxiety. Subi works especially well with clients from marginalized and multicultural backgrounds, including international students and communities of color. Her goal is to provide a safe and affirming environment where clients feel deeply seen, validated, and empowered to explore their inner world.
Subi’s therapeutic approach is integrative and culturally responsive, drawing primarily from Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Informed Care. She believes counseling is a collaborative process that allows individuals to reconnect with their authentic selves and channel self-awareness into meaningful life changes. Before entering the counseling field, Subi worked as a yoga instructor, an experience that deeply informed her understanding of the relationship between the body, emotions, and healing. Through her trauma-informed and somatic approach, she integrates breathing, grounding, and gentle awareness into her sessions when appropriate.
Subi is currently based in New York City and offers both in-person sessions and telehealth appointments for clients located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Maryland under licensed supervision. She is dedicated to fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented space where clients can reconnect with their inner strength and move toward greater well-being and self-understanding.
