Professional statement

Suzette Sable is a bilingual (Spanish/English) Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, perinatal mental health concerns, and major life transitions. Many of her clients are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who feel overwhelmed internally while managing significant responsibilities in their personal or professional lives.

Suzette’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, relational, and culturally responsive. She integrates insight-oriented, somatic, and family systems–informed perspectives to help clients explore root causes, understand longstanding patterns, and develop ways of responding that feel grounded and sustainable. Her work emphasizes emotional safety, dignity, and thoughtful pacing rather than rigid protocols.

Suzette holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently completing her PhD in International Psychology, with research focused on paternal mental health in Mexico. Her clinical work is informed by cultural humility and global perspectives on mental health and family systems.

Through her practice, Sable Therapy & Wellness, Suzette provides individual therapy exclusively via secure telehealth for adults residing in California. She offers private-pay services with out-of-network reimbursement options and flexible scheduling to accommodate working professionals and caregivers.

Message to clients

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and I honor the courage it takes to reach out. I work with adults who are feeling anxious, burned out, or emotionally overwhelmed, often while navigating life transitions, caregiving roles, or the long-term impact of trauma.

In our work together, we’ll focus on understanding what’s happening beneath the surface rather than just managing symptoms. My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, with attention to emotional safety, cultural context, and the patterns that have shaped your experience. I believe meaningful change happens when therapy moves at a pace that feels respectful and sustainable.

I offer therapy in both English and Spanish and work with clients across California via telehealth. If you’re looking for thoughtful, depth-oriented therapy and are ready to invest in your healing, I would be glad to see if we might be a good fit.
