Professional statement

Tammy Valicenti works with individuals who have already engaged in traditional talk therapy and other modalities, yet feel frustrated by a lack of progress. They are seeking something more transformative—something that addresses their thoughts and feelings, as well as the deeper, somatic, and spiritual layers of their experience. Tammy’s work is a refuge for those who are ready to shift patterns and create a deeper sense of ease and flow in their lives.

At the core of Tammy’s approach is Transformation Soulution™, an integrative and body-centered method that combines the power of EMDR, IFS, and other evidence-based therapies. Unlike conventional therapy, which can take years to garner results, Transformation Soulution™ accomplishes in a few sessions what traditional therapy may take years to achieve. By working with the nervous system, Tammy helps clients transform stored emotional energy, heal trauma, and rewire old patterns.

Having experienced the limitations of traditional talk therapy herself, she has cultivated an approach that honors the body as a time capsule, which has everything it needs for healing. Her training in somatic and spiritual therapies, along with her extensive experience in trauma recovery, has enabled her to guide clients through a transformative process. Her work emphasizes self-compassion and love, enabling clients to view their struggles as opportunities for more profound healing.

Tammy received her MSW from Columbia University and was trained by the founder of EMDR over 25 years ago.

Tammy’s practice is mostly virtual, and she offers very limited, in-person sessions in Newton Centre, MA, The Berkshires, and Tampa, FL. She provides flexible scheduling, including evening appointments and weekend intensives. Whether in person or online, Tammy is committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and transformative space for healing and growth.

Message to clients

I invite you to envision and feel into the next step on your journey of healing and integration. This path serves as a catalyst for you to step into your fullest expression of self—a place of empowered, limitless expansion beyond what you once thought possible; true freedom.

Sheree Bliss Tilsley summed up how I work perfectly when she wrote the poem, “A Medicine Woman’s Prayer." I will not rescue you. For you are not powerless. I will not fix you, For you are not broken. I will not heal you, For I see you, in your wholeness. I will walk with you through the darkness, As you remember your light.”

If you decide to reach out, please come exactly as you are. All thoughts, actions, reactions, and ideas are welcome, and all parts are valued and respected. I almost always begin our first session with the question, "How do we know when we're done with our work here?" I prefer our eyes on the prize, bringing results toward us, while we're both headed in the same direction, and on the same path. With that vision in mind, I'd love to hear! If you don't have a vision yet, no worries - we can feel into it together.
