Tanya works with adults who may appear strong and capable on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. Many of her clients have spent years taking care of others, adapting to difficult situations, or pushing through life without much space for their own needs. She also supports individuals with developmental disabilities, Veterans, and those from underserved communities, always honoring each person’s story, values, and cultural background.
Her approach to therapy is warm, genuine, and collaborative. She believes therapy should feel like a conversation where clients feel safe enough to be themselves, not pressured to have all the answers. Using CBT and DBT, she helps clients better understand their emotions, develop practical coping skills, and create healthier ways of responding to stress and life’s challenges. Sessions move at a pace that feels comfortable, with a focus on strengths, self-compassion, and steady, meaningful growth.
With over 20 years of experience in community mental health, she brings both professional expertise and real-world understanding into the therapy room. Her work has included supporting people transitioning out of institutional settings, working with youth in juvenile detention centers, caring for older adults in nursing homes, and serving Veterans and underserved populations. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical.
She offers both in-person and virtual therapy to meet clients where they are. Whether sessions take place face-to-face or through secure telehealth, her goal is to create a calm, supportive space where clients feel comfortable opening up, gaining clarity, and moving toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
