Terry has twenty-one (21) years in the field of behavioral health. He finds pleasure working with clients who are hurting and want to begin a new journey of healing the mind, body, and the spirit to regain self-awareness, self-worth, and confidence in the new self. Terry is a Christian counselor but does not force his personal beliefs and convictions on his clients. If the client wants to talk about their spiritual journey, Terry will be attentive to your testimony and personal spiritual journey.
Terry enjoys working with those who have experienced prolong grief over a year, been abused as a child, and those who are overwhelmed with life's ups and down. Some have experienced first hand what it means to be handed a dysfunctional family and home environment that rolls over to the adult years. The bad home life, loss of your childhood, and growing up too fast sets the stage for challenging times.
Terry enjoys learning new areas in behavioral health whether it is on the polyvagal nerve, the mind and body connection in healing, and attending online conferences, workshops, and trainings to be ahead of the pack in staying current with the most current information. Terry will be a good fit if you want help, wanting to know why I do the things or act the way I do. It is learning simple breathing and relaxation along with grounding tools. Terry takes time to listen, give insights, and tools that help.
