Professional statement

With over a decade of experience as a licensed mental health therapist, Vanessa Almendarez provides compassionate, client-centered care for individuals navigating a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. Specializing in ADHD, anxiety, depression, and related concerns, Vanessa works with adolescents and adults seeking clarity, growth, and effective strategies to improve their mental well-being.

Vanessa's therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. By integrating these approaches, she tailors each session to meet the unique needs of every client—creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore their goals and develop practical tools for lasting change.

Clients often describe Vanessa’s style as warm, attentive, and engaging, with an emphasis on building trust and fostering a nonjudgmental environment. Whether someone is facing the overwhelm of ADHD, the weight of depression, or the persistent worry of anxiety, Vanessa is committed to helping clients gain insight and build resilience at their own pace.

Currently, Vanessa offers therapy exclusively through secure virtual sessions, making care accessible and convenient for clients across Florida. Flexible appointment times are available to accommodate diverse schedules, including evenings and select weekends. She is currently accepting new clients for remote sessions and welcomes inquiries from individuals ready to begin their therapeutic journey.

Message to clients

Before we begin working together, I want you to know that this is a space where you will not be judged. I believe in meeting my clients exactly where they are—emotionally, mentally, and personally. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can be yourself, feel heard, and start to explore whatever challenges or goals bring you to therapy.

I am very caring and deeply attentive to the needs of my clients. Our first session is typically a time for us to get to know one another. Rather than diving into structured plans right away, I focus on building a genuine connection and creating a space where you can feel comfortable and understood. These early sessions are often open and conversational, but if you feel that a more structured approach would work better for you, I’m always happy to adapt.

My hope for you is that therapy becomes a place where you can find relief, clarity, and confidence in your path forward—at your own pace and in your own way.
