Professional statement

Vanessa is passionate about holistic wellness. She wants her clients to recognize the mind-body-connection and heal and grow emotionally, physically and energetically/spiritually. She enjoys working collaboratively with her clients, helping them to become empowered and find a sense of purpose and fulfillment in their lives and relationships. She works with a wide range of issues and a variety of people. People often come to see her when other modalities of therapy haven't worked. Vanessa's approach is holistic, using somatic therapy, energy work and mindfulness to enrich and diversify your growth. You are the expert in your life and she is here to help guide you through your experience and connect with your inner light and intuition.

She believes in processing and honoring old adaptive patterns to gain awareness, and then with love and self-compassion find acceptance and choice to live a different path. Vanessa also values using mindfulness, energy work and breathing techniques to work with what is coming up in the present moment. She wants her clients to feel empowered by recognizing they are electromagnetic spiritual beings that can move and release their own energy. Finally, she uses body-oriented techniques to help you tap into the innate wisdom of your body, providing deeper healing than just talk therapy.

Vanessa values the importance of the therapeutic relationship to provide restorative and nurturing emotional experiences. As humans, we inherently need social connection, acceptance, and love; through compassionate connection and relationship, she hopes to provide a safe space for you to explore your experience, heal, grow, and flourish.

Message to clients

Sometimes we are feeling lost, stuck or just want to learn more about ourselves. Therapy is a great way to start or augment this journey for yourself. Working with me will bring more depth to exploring your experience by tapping more into the body and moving your energy. We focus a lot on the mind/intellect and stay in our heads in this culture. It is important to approach your experience and healing holistically, as our mind, body and spirit are interconnected. At the core of you is your subtle energy body and by clearing your energy and moving it, you can move the energy that drives those physical and psychological symptoms.

Most of my clients will begin with processing old traumas and talking through problems and tapping into the body little by little; later in the process, we can dive deeper into more guided imagery or energy work if it feels right to you. You are the expert in your life and know moment to moment what you innately need. Most importantly, the healing happens through the relationship and human connection between the two of us. I am honored to guide my clients through their experience; I learn a lot from my clients as well and I am very grateful to be doing this work.
