Professional statement

Vincent Covelli, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use, life transitions, and school or work-related stress. He values creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while working toward meaningful personal growth and healing.

Vincent takes an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. Drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), he helps clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical coping skills for everyday life. He believes therapy can be both a space for processing difficult emotions and a place for authentic connection, self-discovery, and growth.

Before entering outpatient practice, Vincent worked in higher levels of care and medical social work settings, supporting individuals with urgent and complex mental health needs. These experiences strengthened his ability to meet clients with compassion, flexibility, and understanding during challenging periods of life. Vincent earned his Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University New Brunswick in 2021.

Vincent offers both in-person and virtual therapy sessions and is committed to helping clients feel supported, empowered, and understood throughout their therapeutic journey.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and I want you to know that you do not have to have everything figured out before coming to session. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and comfortable showing up exactly as you are. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, we will work together at a pace that feels manageable for you.

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative and genuine. I aim to help clients better understand themselves while building practical tools they can use outside of session. At the same time, I believe therapy can also be a place for connection, humor, self-reflection, and moments of growth along the way. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling heard, empowered, and more confident in your ability to navigate life’s challenges.
