Description
Infidelity is often a betrayal. Because discussing the details with family and friends can be difficult, the betrayed partner can struggle to find a safe place to process their emotions. This group is specifically designed to support the emotional needs of partners betrayed by infidelity. The group offers participants space to share experiences of hurt and vulnerability and to build necessary bonds at a time when connecting with others may feel inaccessible or painful.
Demographics: All adults are welcome regardless of sexual orientation, identity, or racial/ethnic background. We intentionally diversify the groups; encountering difference is a part of the experience. We try to match based on age group.
Duration: Therapy groups have no planned end date, participants decide how long the group runs, or groups end when the psychotherapy goals of each participant are met
Goals: Each individual brings their own psychotherapy goals; the group will work together to define and measure goals for each participant.
This group is ongoing. Please contact us at any time to join.
Group Therapist
Kinsey & Associates is a small, group practice in the heart of Boston, MA. We specialize in relational care. We focus on relationships of all kinds including the special relationship of therapist and client. We believe that good healthcare, especially mental healthcare, relies on the strength of the relationship between client and provider. And we believe that true wellness relies on the strength of one's personal relationships.
At Kinsey & Associates, we are client-centered, humanistic, and informed by philosophy and science. Clients come to us from all over Massachusetts, in person and online, often after trying many different therapists. They find us to be informed, compassionate, warm, and, most importantly, focused.
We are not head-nodders and back patters. We are not coaches and disciplinarians. We are not teachers. We are counselors. We approach our work with an informed perspective and with a deep commitment to humanistic principles and evidence-supported techniques based in the unique and important relationship of counselor and client.
If you are curious, call us. We offer a free, 15-minute, phone consultation to any who wish to investigate if we are a good fit.
