Art Therapy Group: Visual Journaling

Description

Making art helps us process thoughts, feelings, and experiences—and it’s fun, too! Creating feels good, is good for us, and can lead to powerful transformations.

In this group, we’ll use visual journaling to dive into creativity and self-discovery. Each session begins with a warm-up to get you grounded and inspired. Warm-ups might include simple drawing activities, breathing, light movement, or reflecting on images. After that, there’s plenty of time to work in your journal.

You can explore anything that speaks to you—experiment with art materials, create images about challenges you’re facing, explore themes like healing and wellness, or even write and decorate poetry. If you’re not sure where to start, prompts are available to spark your imagination. We close with a supportive group discussion and optional sharing of images.

This is an ongoing, open group for adults, so you’re welcome to join anytime. It’s an inclusive, respectful space where everyone is honored, and no artistic experience is needed. Through art-making, you’ll not only get to know your inner world more deeply but also connect meaningfully with others who share the journey.

Come create with us and see where your art takes you!
