Healing from Betrayal Trauma and Narcissistic Abuse

Description

This group is for those who have or are currently suffering from betrayal trauma or narcissistic abuse. We will go through psychoeducation: learning the effects of these types of abuse on the body and mind. We will go through tools for stabilization and regulation. We will learn what will make you feel safe. We will go through making meaning of your life before, during and after the abuse. And we will work on you visualizing a healthy full existence regardless of what your path the abuser follows.

We will meet for 8 to 10 weeks starting mid-March on Thursday evenings from 7PM to 8:30PM. Sessions are $25 and insurance may be used.

Group Therapist

Nancy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, trauma, betrayal trauma, infidelity trauma, substance use disorders, ADHD, sex and porn addictions and couples therapy. She works with adults, adolescents, families, and couples and uses evidence-based modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, EMDR, and The Gottman Method to help clients create lasting change.

Her clinical experience includes work in private practice and inpatient treatment settings, including St. Peter's Hospital Detox, where she supported individuals experiencing acute withdrawal, addiction, and co-occurring mental health challenges. In private mental health practice, she has worked extensively with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, sex and porn addiction, betrayal trauma, relationship issues, and other complex emotional concerns. She also integrates EFT, hypnotherapy, and trauma-informed approaches to meet each client where they are.

Before becoming a therapist, Nancy spent 27 years as a high school teacher, an experience that profoundly shaped the way she understands people, relationships, conflict, development, and resilience. Her years in education gave her a deep appreciation for the emotional lives of adolescents, the complexities families face, and the importance of patience, presence, and compassionate guidance. This work ultimately inspired her to pursue clinical social work and support individuals and families on a deeper level.

She is passionate about helping clients reconnect with their strengths, heal from past wounds, and move forward with clarity and confidence. If you or a loved one is struggling with mental health challenges, addiction, trauma, or if you are part of a couple seeking healthier communication and a stronger relationship, she welcomes you to reach out. She would be honored to support you on your path toward growth and healing..
