Humor and Positive Psychology

Description

If you long to experience a sense of complete of acceptance, a complete lack of judgment, freedom of self-expression, and permission to say things that may sound completely absurd, this group may be for you. Unlike many therapy groups that get lost in boring content, this group is all about the experience in the moment. Having fun for the sake of having fun is so lacking in today's world. You may be surprised how the effects of having fun in a therapy group can translate into enhancing your day to day experience of yourself, and actually reduce symptoms of emotional distress you might be experiencing.

Group Therapist

Humanist by nature-I practice therapy grounded in the belief that each of us already has all resources within ourselves to achieve a sense of balance and well-being. Ultimately good psychotherapy can help you feel personally successful in ways that matter to you the most.

In practice now for over 25 years, I work with individuals, couples and families providing therapy for a wide array of mental health issues. My goal is to help you create an authentic understanding of what you are going through so that you can achieve full resolution and live your life the way you would prefer to.

My in-depth expertise working with trauma, abuse, and self-esteem issues, and the related anxiety and depression that many people experience, is rooted in treatment methods I have many years of expert training in. I provide clients with the most effective, and efficient methods of overcoming even the most painful past experiences.

The basis for good therapy is implicit trust and a deep sense of understanding. These qualities have often been lacking in our personal relationships. We often underestimate our own personal gifts and talents- I can absolutely help you find and appreciate yours! In-person and virtual visits offered, servicing all ages including children and the elderly.
