Men's Sexual Health Support Group

Description

Reclaiming/Optimizing Sexual Health is a structured 12 week psychotherapeutic group for male survivors of sexual trauma, designed to support trauma resolution and sexual health recovery through a holistic, evidence informed lens. Blending somatic awareness, psychoeducation, compassion based practice, and sexual wellness–oriented interventions, this group helps participants reduce shame, strengthen boundary and consent skills, explore intimacy and desire safely, and rebuild a healthy relationship with pleasure, embodiment, and sexuality. Participants gradually develop personalized sexual wellness plans while benefiting from supportive group experience, grounding practices in a trauma responsive, consent forward environment. Individual session required to assess appropriateness for group.

The group is an adjunctive treatment modality for male survivors who are already in individual therapy. As an attendance guarantee, a nonrefundable prepayment for all 12-weeks is requested. Some insurance accepted. Sliding scale available.

Group Therapist

Philip takes a person-centered, Internal Family Systems (IFS)–informed approach to therapy, creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their inner world at their own pace. His work is grounded in the belief that healing happens when all parts of ourselves—including those shaped by trauma, shame, or survival—are met with curiosity and compassion.

Drawing from psychodynamic and somatic approaches, Philip helps clients understand how past relationships and experiences continue to shape their emotions, behaviors, and sense of self in the present. He also supports clients in reconnecting with their bodies, recognizing that healing is not only something we think about, but something we feel and experience. This integrated approach can be especially supportive for those navigating issues related to intimacy, and sexual wellness.

Philip believes each person carries an inherent capacity for growth and self-healing. By helping clients identify their strengths and develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves, he supports greater emotional resilience, self-trust, and empowerment. Therapy with Philip is collaborative and relational, offering both insight and practical tools to help clients feel more grounded, connected, and aligned with their authentic selves.
