Practice Information

Anchor of Hope Counseling and Wellness is a telehealth only practice. My name is Kayla, and I am the owner of AHCW. Over the next several months, there will be more clinicians added to the practice to help fill in gaps and bring more diversity to the things that can be offered.

I graduated from RIC in 2019 and have been working in the field in several different ways since. I've worked with several different populations including families involved in DCYF, forensic psychiatric adults, and as a child protective investigator for DCYF. My main goal is to ensure that anyone who meets with me feels comfortable, no matter their background and no matter what their "story" is. I want to help make sure my clients feel seen, heard, and supported in the best way possible.

In 2023 I was trained in EMDR and it has been a game changer for my practice and my clients. My clients have vocalized seeing progress in areas they had previously been stagnant in for a long time. Its an evidence based practice with real results. It can be used for most things but I especially use it to help people dealing with trauma and anxiety around certain areas of their life. Together, we explore what your biggest challenges are and where you want to see the most change.

I look forward to meeting you!
