At Bluestone Behavioral Health, we value the use of evidence-based treatment modalities to ensure each of our patients receives the most effective approach to reaching their therapeutic goals. Bluestone Behavioral Health also provides neuropsychological and forensic evaluations for individuals 8 years and older. Psychotherapy:
- We believe in the inherent wellness, capability, and resiliency of individuals. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy foundations, we will work together with you to identify and address any barriers that are in the way of you living a fulfilled and meaningful life.
Neuropsychological and Psychological Assessment:
- All testing batteries are tailored to your needs, allowing us to provide a full range of neuropsychological and psychological testing services, including:
Diagnostic and baseline assessments for a range of neurodevelopmental and neurological conditions
- Diagnostic evaluations
- Academic and IQ testing
Forensic Evaluation:
- Our forensic services utilize a variety of tools from formal testing, and comprehensive record review, to structured clinical interviewing to address court ordered or case informative questions, including:
- Court ordered or attorney requested evaluations, including competence, criminal responsibility, and aid-in-sentencing evaluations
- Independent psychological expert evaluations and testimony
- Specialized risk assessments, including for firesetting and violent behavior

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) - Reducing unwanted intrusive thoughts and rituals by gradually building comfort and confidence facing difficult fears, thoughts, and emotions
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - Healing painful experiences and memories from the past
Neuropsychological testing - Evaluations of general brain functioning, as well as assessment for changes or impairments. Typically involves an interview, as well as series of tests.
Adolescent mental health - Working with adolescents, teenagers, and parents on social, academic, and/or emotional challenges throughout teenage years; addressing anxiety, family conflicts, peer relationships, school stress, transition to college, social media pressures, self-esteem, hopelessness about the future, emotional disregulation
Forensic psychology - Understanding and managing triggers and motivations related to criminal activity; evaluation of one’s mental competence, criminal responsibility, competency to stand trial, risk-assessment; testifying as an expert witness
