Practice Information

HeartWork is a boutique clinic of psychologists and postdoctoral fellows whose practice incorporates a warm, open-hearted approach with evidence-based theory and skills. We include your strengths and what matters most to you, and we use those values as a guide to make meaningful changes in your life. Throughout our work together, we take a collaborative stance that incorporates feedback from you on how you are progressing towards your treatment goals.

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

Every HeartWork provider earned a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in addition to many years of clinical training. We have expertise in mindfulness and evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy. We use these research-informed approaches within a culturally sensitive framework and strive to create a space that is respectful, warm, and welcoming to all.

What are your practice's specialties?

We provide psychotherapy services (ages 14+) to those experiencing a wide range of concerns, including: anxiety (general anxiety, panic, health anxiety, specific phobias), depression, trauma, addiction, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), life transitions, living with chronic health conditions, insomnia, gender and other identity issues, grief and loss, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, parenting, problematic anger, and relationship difficulties.

How does payment work at your practice?

At this time, we only accept Lyra and Modern Health insurances. If you have a PPO and would like to use your health insurance to see us as “out-of-network providers,” we provide “superbills” for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. In our experience, clients have been able to be reimbursed at high rates (generally between 50% - 70%), but we recommend clarifying this with your insurance carrier.

Why should I choose your practice?

HeartWork was founded by two psychologists and close friends who are deeply passionate about helping others. We do this work because we care deeply about our clients and truly love what we do. Our mission is to promote well-being, and we believe that everyone has the potential to live a life full of vitality and personal fulfillment.
