Me, Myself, and I Counseling Group is a healing-centered therapy practice led by Marques Johnson, LICSW — a licensed clinical social worker in both Rhode Island and South Carolina. Rooted in deep respect for personal agency, this practice is committed to a creating sacred and affirming space for those navigating life’s complexities. We honor the wisdom each client brings and believe that healing happens when people are seen, heard, and held without judgment.
At present, the practice is led solely by Marques, who brings nearly two decades of clinical experience, a soulful approach to therapy, and a passion for supporting clients in reclaiming their stories. Whether in-person or online, the therapeutic experience at Me, Myself, and I is one of curiosity, connection, and courageous inner work.
Me, Myself, and I Counseling Group is a full-service therapy practice based in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. We offer individual, couples, group, and family therapy sessions, both in-person and via secure telehealth. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or long-term healing work, we create spaces where authentic growth and restoration are possible.
Our practice specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma, with a particular commitment to serving individuals impacted by systemic oppression and identity-based stress. We are especially passionate about working with members of the BIPOC community, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those navigating the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, and spirituality.
Therapy at Me, Myself, and I Counseling Group draws from a range of clinical frameworks including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). As one of the few EMDR-trained Black queer clinicians in Rhode Island, Marques brings a uniquely attuned and trauma-informed presence to the therapeutic process — creating space for transformation that is not only possible, but embodied.
Because this is more than therapy — it’s sacred space. At Me, Myself, and I, we don’t just treat symptoms. We honor your lived experience. We create room for the parts of you that have been silenced, shamed, or overlooked. With warmth, cultural humility, and depth, we walk beside you as you do the work of remembering who you are — beyond survival, beyond scripts. If you’re looking for a therapist who sees the soul behind the struggle, you’re in the right place.
We are currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield. For clients not using this insurance, session fees range from $85 to $150, with a sliding scale available based on financial need.
