Practice Information

Michigan Wellbeing is one of the only clinics in Michigan operating at the intersection of evidence-based psychotherapy and comprehensive integrative wellness. We were built on the premise that most mental health care is too narrow, treating symptoms in isolation while leaving the broader picture of a person's life largely unaddressed. We work differently.

Every client receives a personalized treatment plan built from the ground up around their specific needs, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, ACT, DBT, somatic and body-based approaches, family systems work, and polyvagal-informed techniques. Beyond therapy, we coordinate a curated network of wellness practitioners including nutritionists, herbalists, and somatic specialists, so clients experience cohesive, whole-person care rather than a fragmented collection of appointments.

Our clinic is led by George Khamis, MA, LLP, a doctoral-level clinician whose research focuses on innovative, neuro-affirmative treatment models for ADHD, autism, and neurodivergence. We specialize in populations that have too often been underserved by conventional mental health systems, including neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQIA+ clients, and families navigating complex circumstances. We are in-network with BCBS, Aetna, and Priority Health, and currently accepting new clients across Michigan.

FAQS

Why should I choose your practice?

Michigan Wellbeing offers individual, couples, and family therapy, ADHD assessments, diagnostic consultations, and personalized integrative treatment planning for children, teens, and adults. Beyond traditional therapy, we provide ADHD and executive function coaching, the Safe and Sound Protocol for nervous system regulation, and integrative wellness consultations that connect clients to a curated network of holistic practitioners including nutritionists, herbalists, and somatic specialists. All services are delivered fully virtually across Michigan, making specialized, whole-person care accessible wherever you are in the state.

For clients who sense that what they need goes beyond traditional therapy, our specialties extend into integrative wellness and coaching services that most mental health clinics simply do not offer. This includes ADHD and executive function coaching, nervous system regulation through the Safe and Sound Protocol, and holistic wellness work spanning nutrition, herbalism, somatic practices, Human Design, spirituality, and complementary healing approaches.

How does payment work at your practice?

Michigan Wellbeing is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Aetna, and Priority Health. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for those without in-network coverage, and we work with clients directly to find arrangements that make care accessible. Self-pay rates start at $165 per session depending on the clinician and service. Reach out through this profile or contact us directly and we will walk you through your options before your first appointment.

What services does your practice offer?

Michigan Wellbeing is a full-service virtual mental health & integrative wellness clinic serving individuals, children, teens, couples, and families across Michigan. We offer individual, couples, and family therapy rooted in a depth-oriented, whole-person framework, alongside specialized child and adolescent therapy using neuro-affirmative approaches and interactive telehealth tools designed to keep younger clients engaged.

For those still working to understand what they are dealing with, we offer ADHD assessments, diagnostic consultations, and comprehensive integrative treatment planning. Our ADHD and executive function coaching provides support for adults, teens, and students navigating focus, organization, time management, and emotional regulation.

Our integrative wellness services extend well beyond conventional therapy into nutrition, herbalism, somatic and body-based work, nervous system regulation, Human Design, spirituality, and complementary healing approaches, treating the whole person across every dimension of their experience. We also offer the Safe and Sound Protocol, a music-based nervous system intervention for anxiety, trauma, and sensory sensitivities.

What are your practice's specialties?

Our clinicians specialize in ADHD, autism, AuDHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, life transitions, and relational challenges, with particular depth in neurodivergent populations across the lifespan. We have strong expertise in LGBTQIA+ affirming care, immigrant and first-generation family support, somatic and nervous system approaches, parent coaching, executive function support, and family systems therapy. We also work with gifted and twice-exceptional individuals, and families navigating complex, multi-layered circumstances that conventional mental health settings have not been equipped to fully address.
